Vic: Road rage incident leaves man in hospital

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital last night after a violent incident in suburban St Kilda.

Police say the man was driving along St Kilda Road shortly before midnight when he
had words with three men in another car.

He got out of his car and confronted one of the men at the intersection with Inkerman Street.

Police say the two other men also got out of their car and joined their companion in
attacking the 20-year-old.

The victim lost consciousness during the attack and was later taken by ambulance to
the Alfred Hospital where he remains in a satisfactory condition.
