Qld: Armed robber caught over note

A man armed with a syringe has bungled a hold-up in Brisbane by handing over a demand
note with his name and address on it.

Police say the 31-year-old man held up the Pizza Hut at Carina in Brisbane's south
shortly before midnight with a blood-filled syringe.

A police spokesman says the man demanded the money to buy a new skateboard and was
found at home after mistakenly handing over a note which had his details on the back.

The man is also being questioned about the robbery of a store in Brisbane's Fortitude
Valley early yesterday morning.

He's expected to be charged later today.
